Hanhwa Aqua Planet Yeosu (아쿠아플라넷 여수) is a must-visit destination for anyone fascinated by the underwater world. It is the second largest aquarium in South Korea. And, it is the first one which is completely above ground – surprising considering it is home to so many fascinating marine creatures. It was opened in 2012 alongside the Yeosu World Expo and is an environmentally friendly building, using solar power for most of its energy use.
